Brain mechanisms for object recognition
I am looking for someone to provide programming for my research on object recognition. It would involve:
a) consulting with a circuit designer who is fabricating a custom LED display -- requiring specification of communication protocols between the microprocessor and the display
b) write the firmware for the microprocessor slave to address successive positions on the display board
c) write the applications for the computer that controls the slave, these applications specifying what timing and dot sequences to use -- this being a continuing task as successive experiments are implemented
d) doing so at a rate that can be afforded by an underfunded academic, the major reward being the advance of science
This effort would be following up on some experiments that have been done using a less well-engineered display board, an example of which can be found at:
